James L. Hosch, 80, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at Jackson County Regional Medical Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Jim was born April 6, 1940, in Randolph, Neb., the son of Leo and Marjorie (Bullock) Hosch. He married Carol Ann Greenawald on Oct. 18, 1958, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, Iowa.
Jim loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Jim enjoyed his many years in sales. He cherished the many memories with all of his family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Kristine (Randy) Frimml of Monticello, Keri (Curt) Larson of Waukon, Karol Boffeli of Springville, Kurt (Joyce) Hosch of Robins and Kent Hosch of Anamosa; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Syl) Gansemer of Dyersville, Julie (Nick) Sauser and Linda (John) Sauser, both of Monticello; and in-laws, Sheri K. Greenawald of Ohio, Tom (Mary Jane) Greenawald of New Mexico, Dave Greenawald of Minnesota and Theresa Hosch of Maquoketa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Lawrence and Evelyn Greenwald; a brother, Richard Hosch; in-laws, Janet (John) Andreesen; and a nephew, Tom Sauser.
