Case, Harold W.
Harold W. Case, 81, a resident of Summit Point Retirement Community, Marion, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11 a.m., Thursday, at College Avenue Friends Church, 912 N. C St., Oskaloosa. Inurnment: 11 a.m., Saturday, Byron-Amorita Cemetery, Amorita, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Donice; a daughter, Lindel (Mark) Settle; 2 grandchildren, Joshua (Kirsten) Settle and Jacob Settle; 1 brother, Floyd (Pat) Case; and 1 sister, Dolores (Albert) Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Lana June Case; and 6 brothers.
Harold was born Jan. 11, 1928, the son of Bert and Fanny (Wilson) Case, in Byron, Okla. He married Donice McIntire on Aug. 29, 1948, in Byron, Okla. Harold was a high school teacher and principal in Ashland, Kan., and was a College Administrator & Professor at William Penn College in Oskaloosa. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal brother, trusted friend, respected employee and avid golfer. He will be missed. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the kindness and compassion of Northbrook Manor and Hospice of Mercy caregivers during his last days.
