MICHAEL "MICK" DONALD MAGNER
Winona, Minn.
Michael "Mick" Donald Magner, 66, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly due to cardiac issues on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, in Arcadia, Wis. Mick had resided in Winona, Minn., for the last 30 years.
Mick was born to Barbara (Campbell) Magner and Emmet Magner in 1954 in Waukon, Iowa.
Mick was a dedicated employee of 10 years to Ashley Furniture, Arcadia. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved fantasy football. He was also an avid NASCAR and Tony Stewart fan. Mick loved to grill, listen to music and be surrounded by his many friends. Mick had a great sense of humor and could tell stories for hours about his many family members and friends. Mick was planning on retiring this year and buying either a boat or a motorcycle.
Survivors include his son, Mick E. Magner of Davenport, Iowa; his daughter, Jill C. Magner of Davenport, Iowa; also grandchildren, Simone Bruns and Chase bruns of Davenport, Iowa; his mother, Barbara (Campbell) Magner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a brother, Pat Magner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four sisters, Debbie (John) Egan of Luana, Iowa, Peggy (Mark) Hewitt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kathy (Brett) Ibsen of Shellsburg, Iowa, and Diane (Nate) Humbert of Palo, Iowa; uncles, Charlie and Manny Campbell; an aunt, Jan Kilpatrick; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mick was preceeded in death by his father, Emmet Magner; grandparents, Leo and Emily Magner and Leonard and Hazel Campbell; and by a sister-in-law, Sue Magner.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Judes under his name as he donated to them every month. All other condolences may be sent to Jill Magner, 1119 North Blanchard St., Davenport, IA 52804; and will be shared with the family.
There will be a Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date.
Mick was a fun loving, hilarious, witty, ornery man who lived to laugh and will be loved and missed by all of those who knew him.
