NICHOLAS NORTHWAY Cedar Rapids Nicholas "Nick" John Northway, 40, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Noelridge Christian Church in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 520 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Nick was born Aug. 13, 1974, the son of Randy and Carole (Roberts) Northway in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Marion High School in 1993. Survivors include his parents, Randy and Carole Northway; his son, Blake Northway; three brothers, Jason (Carrie), Spencer (Tiffany) and Colin (Brandi); grandparents, Barbara Roberts and Shirley Northway; niece and nephews, Whitney, William, Wyatt, Jacob and Liam; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larkin Roberts and Gilbert Northway; and a cousin, Kevin Farwell. Most of all, he loved spending time with his son Blake. Nick was passionate about live music. He also enjoyed all sports, bass fishing, computer technology, traveling and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
