Lisbon sweeps Maquoketa Valley to stay unbeaten
LISBON – Lisbon's baseball team continued its tear through the Tri-Rivers Conference with a sweep of Maquoketa Valley on Saturday.
The Lions took the opener 10-1 and needed only five innings for an 11-1 win in the second game.
Class 1A No. 3 Lisbon has now scored 10-plus runs in 13 of its 19 games.
After a doubleheader with Easton Valley on Monday, a matchup between the state's only two remaining unbeatens could await the Lions and No. 2 Van Buren (19-0) Tuesday, part of a triangular with Pekin (11-3) in Iowa City.
