Sherrena "Rena" Lee Ruenger, 26, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Washington, Iowa, passed away Sept. 18, 2014, after injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Pastor John Caughron.
Survivors include her parents, Casey and Ronda Ruenger of Washington; fiance, Zac Wullner of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Kassidee, Kaelyn and Kayla Wullner; siblings, Jacob and Sarah Ruenger, both of Washington; father-in-law, LeRoy Wullner of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Betty Shepherd of Grand Junction, Colo.; aunts and uncles, Mike, Randy and Danny Ruenger, Kristi Kaul and Ricky Shepherd; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Duane and Sharon Ruenger; and aunt, Kelly Barrie.
Sherrena was born April 17, 1988, in Grand Junction, Colo., daughter of Casey and Ronda (Shepherd) Ruenger. She had a passion for riding motorcycles and as a child she raced in motocross.
Her children were her life, and she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sherrena always put others before herself and was an organ donor so she could continue to help others.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for her daughters.
