Nathan Zoe Sisco, 31, of Des Moines, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021. A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. The family asks everyone attending to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Nathan was born Sept. 14, 1989, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Steven Brown and Debbie Sisco. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School, Class of 2008. Nathan earned his CNA and worked at Westridge Care Center and at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, collecting guns, camping and, most of all, spending time with his family and dogs.
Nathan is survived by his children, Hayden Sisco and Chloe Sisco; his girlfriend, Charlene Stout; his father, Steven Brown; his siblings, Matthew Brown, Katie Miller, Trinitee Brown, Mason Brown, Kayleigh Brown, Amber (Alex) Strempke, Blaze Schoultz, Sheyenne Wessels and Abigail Merritt; his grandparents, Merry Boring (Jim Bartels), Steven and Karol Brown; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Wessels; grandparents, Mary and Russell Sours, Vickie Killian; his stepmom, Laura Brown; and his brother, Braden Brown.
