Lynette graduated from the North English Schools in 1966. Lynn was a star basketball player in high school when it was still 3 on 3 basketball - she played on the offensive end and was always a high scorer. Lynette worked at the Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic. She married Daniel Rickels on April 22, 1995, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Anamosa. Lynette was employed at Norwest Bank in Cedar Rapids.
