GEORGE A. NIKODIM

George A. Nikodim, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids. Per his wishes, his body was cremated and there will be no services.
George was born Sept. 9, 1939, the son of George and Edith (O'Connor) Nikodim, in Cedar Rapids. He was married to Margo for 39 years. George worked as a machinist for Goss Graphics. He enjoyed many hobbies, including woodworking and the outdoors. George loved setting up a display of Christmas decorations outside the house. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Barry (Jacque) Hollan and Steve (Julie) Hollan; and four grandchildren, Dakota, Shae, Brody and Dalton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gary Nikodim.
