Demmel, Gary H.
Gary H. Demmel, 67, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Vinton, died of cancer Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Cedar Valley Hospice House, Waterloo. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Timothy United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with the Rev. Dick Clark officiating. Friends may call at St. Timothy Church from 7 to 9 tonight. Committal and flag presentation, 2 p.m. Monday, Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton. Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton is assisting the family.
He is survived by his wife, Darline, Cedar Falls; his children, Matthew (Bressa) Demmel, Union, and Tanya Demmel, Tipton; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marilyn (Jerry) O'Connor, Polk City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
Gary was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Waterloo, to Harold and Ruth (Dorsey) Demmel.
