CORRINE KAY (COQUILLETTE) DOLEZAL
Dallas, Iowa
Corrine Kay (Coquillette) Dolezal passed away on March 9, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines after an eight-month battle with Large B-cell Lymphoma.
Corrine Kay Coquillette was born on July 29, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Kenneth and Betty (Kraus) Coquillette. Corrine grew up in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she earned her teaching degree. She taught at Marshalltown High School and worked in other various education positions. Corrine worked for 13 years at KIOWA in Marshalltown where she met David Dolezal.
On April 8, 1975, Corrine married David Dolezal. Dave and Corrine were the parents of children Shannon and Derek. She also was happy to have David's children, Diana, Rod, Tim and Denise, in her family.
Reading was a favorite pastime for Corrine. She loved reading about history and especially about U.S. Presidents and the First Ladies. She was a fan of British TV and enjoyed crafts, including diamond painting. She was a good cook and baker and was known for her chicken and dumplings.
But her absolute favorite enjoyment was her grandchildren. She lovingly called them "her favorite people."
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Betty Coquillette; husband of 46 years, Dave; children, Shannon Johnson (Allan Hill), Derek Dolezal, Diana Dolezal, Rod Dolezal, Tim (Trish) Dolezal and Denise Dolezal (Ben Bitterlie); brother, Gary (Sharon) Coquillette; and nine grandchildren, Cayden, Cassidy, Beatrix, BreAnna, Hannah, KassiAnne, Logan, Ashley and Allison. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth.
Private family services for Corrine K. Dolezal will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Adel, Iowa. Condolences may be sent to the family at 1993 60th Ave., Dallas, IA 50062.
