Laree Clair Minor, 61, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, and is now at peace with our Lord. There will be a private family service. Stewart Baxter is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by her sons, Alex Minor, Jimmy Kness and Brad Kness; grandchildren, Bentley Meyers and Fennich Kness; brothers, Rick and Mike Minor; sisters, Jackie (Doug) Stealey, Donna (Steve) Kent and Mildred Mills; mother, Veronica Minor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Austin Kness; and father, Merle Minor.
Laree was born on Aug. 14, 1957, the daughter of Merle and Veronica (Ryan) Minor, in Cedar Rapids. Laree attended Jefferson High School. She held various positions in the service industry, such as food preparation and nursing home facilities. Laree was known for her heart of gold, as she truly enjoyed helping others, and for her great love of our Lord. Her children were the light of her life and she loved them beyond measure.
Rest in peace, sweet sister of ours.
