Jane Catlett Majzel, 65, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, with a brief meditation service to be held at 4 p.m. Pastor Ginger Anderson-Larson will officiate at the services.
Surviving are her son, Chris; six sisters, Sally Edwards, Jerie (Don) Starry, Janice (Gary) Thompson, Kathy (Randy) Sauer, Linda (Jon) Kreger and Terri Schmitt; a sister-in-law, Theresa Catlett; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary; a niece, Kileen Takes; and two brothers-in-law, Lee Edwards and Vince Schmitt.
Jane Ann Catlett was born July 4, 1952, at Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Gail and Selma Antons Catlett. Jane attended the Center Junction schools, and graduated from Midland High School in Wyoming. Since 1994, Jane had lived in Olin. She worked at the UnityPoint Clinic in Mount Vernon, St. Luke's Hospital and the Anamosa Care Center in the medical records department. In recent years, she was co-owner with her sisters in Selma's Kitchen in Olin. Jane had been an EMT on the Olin Ambulance Service for many years. She always had a big hug for everyone she met.
