Lois Sue Donovan, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Christopher Podhajsky. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
The family requests no flowers.
Contributions may be made to the Thomas J. Donovan Scholarship at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (Roger) Ott of Dubuque, Molly (Russell) Fuller of Davenport and Michael (Marjorie) Donovan of Newtown, Pa.; grandchildren, Kathryn, Tripp, Connor, Caroline and Elizabeth Ott, Johnny (Megan) Holt, Ryan Fuller and Thomas, Susan and Marie Donovan; and a great-grandchild, Madison Holt.
Lois was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, to John and Marie (Coughlin) Welch. She graduated from Mount Mercy Academy and received her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind. On Nov. 13, 1954, she married Thomas J. Donovan of Boston. They were married for 43 years.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Tom.
