Grassley too old, slowing down

There are many good reasons why Chuck Grassley should not be given another six-year term in the U.S. Senate.
But the main reason is that he is simply too old. By the time his next term would be up, he would be 83. I know that the AARP and others will howl that we can't have age discrimination.
However, I can speak from experience and observation, having been blessed to reach the age of 80, after having had a very rewarding career as a CPA and as the CEO of one of Iowa's strongest savings and loan associations.
After age 75, there is a marked slowing of both mental and physical processes.
The people of Iowa deserve to be represented by someone younger, who thinks younger. Some of Senator Grassley's slowing down has been evidenced by his infamous and dumb “Don't pull the plug on grandma,” which had no basis in reality. He has become a rigid, far right-wing ideologue in his old age, voting as dictated by that wing of his party, rather then considering the needs of all Iowans.
Also in his old age, Senator Grassley, has uddenly become a deficit hawk. For many years, he voted for the Reagan tax cuts, the Bush tax cuts, the ill-advised and unnecessary war in Iraq and the Medicare prescription drug plan - the main contributors toward the $13 trillion debt.
From my perspective, it is obvious that a young person would give Iowa much fairer representation than Sen. Grassley.
