Dorothy A. DeMoss, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at her home. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment will be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dorothy was born on Dec. 4, 1936, to Forrest and Alice Kent Presley in rural Sac County, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Clifford on March 22, 1958, in Austin, Minn. He passed away in 1986. Dorothy worked at Turner Microphone, Norand Electronics for 12 years and Valley Apparel. She enjoyed keeping busy with gardening and yard work. Dorothy always said, "I love you" before getting off the phone.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Terry, David (Carol), Kenneth (Marty), Craig (LuAnn), Roger (Tracy) and Michael (Holly) DeMoss, Cheryl (Robin) Coker and Kathy (Brian) Neibuhr; brothers, Warren, Donovan (Carol) and Craig (Heidi) Presley; a sister, Doris (DeLoss) Davis; 21 stepgrandchildren; 51 stepgreat-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Pete Jacobs.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; parents; stepchild, Rolland DeMoss; siblings, Darlene Jacobs and Dwayne Presley; and nephew, Michael Davis.
A memorial fund has been established.
