Donavon G. Schoeberl, 76, formerly of Urbana, passed away March 6, 2015, in Texas from a sudden illness.
Among survivors are three children, Phillip (Cathy) Schoeberl of Urbana, Donna (Eric) Lamphier of Vinton and Ron Schoeberl of Urbana; two stepchildren, Dwain (Daena) Peterman of Ottumwa and Donella (Larry) Kuhn of Vinton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Leanna Mraz, Karen Robison and Karol (Charles) Smith; a brother, Jerry (Grace) Schoeberl; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Schoeberl and Charlene Culbertson; and his companion, Pauline Dowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Schoeberl; his second wife, Barb; three brothers, Robert, Cletus and Gene; one sister-in- law, Patricia; two brothers-in-law, Dwayne Robison and Charles Mraz; and one granddaughter, Pamela Schoeberl.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 1 to 4 p.m. March 21st at the Urbana Legion Hall. The family invites you to join us with treasured stories about Don.
