A second man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a woman at a campground this week.
Thomas R. Auner, 49, of 640 Berkshire Lane in North Liberty, was arrested Thursday and faces a charge of third-degree sexual abuse for an incident Sunday night at Scales Pointe Campground, 1850 Scales Bend Road, near Coralville Lake.
Timothy T. Wehmeyer, 42, of Conesville, was arrested earlier this week on the same charge in connection with the incident.
The alleged victim was in a camper with the two men when she fell asleep on the couch, according to a criminal complaint. She said she was awoken by Wehmeyer having sex with her.
Auner admitted to “digitally penetrating” the woman during the same time frame, according to the complaint.
Third-degree sexual abuse is a class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
