Donald E. Patterson, 71, of Washington, Iowa, passed away May 3, 2017, at the Halcyon House in Washington.
Celebration of life services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the United Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Dave Stoufer officiating. Calling hours will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The family also will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County, United Presbyterian Church or Washington Rotary Club.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Patterson of Washington; son, Matthew (Tenessa) Patterson of Raleigh, N.C.; son, Steven Patterson of Washington; and son, James Patterson of Malvern, Ark.; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert (Shelly) Patterson of Emory, Texas, and Tom Patterson of State College, Pa.
