RODERICK "ROD" RADENBAUGH

Roderick "Rod" William Radenbaugh, 77, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at his home in Solon.
Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar St. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at Solon United Methodist Church.
Rod was born July 2, 1937, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Don and Marjorie (Hyatt) Radenbaugh. He graduated from Benson High School in Omaha in 1955. Rod later graduated in 1961 from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, with a business degree. Rod was united in marriage to Kay Almquist on Sept. 9, 1961, in Omaha. He worked for 25 years in many areas and departments at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
After retiring, Rod pursued some of his interests by practicing real estate and serving on the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Solon.
Rod is survived by his wife, Kay; son and spouse, Jay and Lidia Radenbaugh of Solon; daughter and spouse, Beth and Bill Mehmen of Swisher; four grandchildren, John Radenbaugh, Marisa Radenbaugh, Mackenzie Mehmen and Taylor Mehmen; and a brother, Don Radenbaugh of Bozeman, Mont.
