DONALD BRANNAMAN

Donald L. Brannaman, 89, of Solon, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Solon, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, with military rites provided by the Solon American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church, where a vigil service will begin at 4 p.m. Brosh Chapel-Solon is assisting the family.
Don was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Cedar County, Iowa, to Bert and Lizzie (Kadera) Brannaman. He married Rita Randall on May 11, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Solon.
Don is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Sue (Ed) Dvorak, Randy, John (Nancy) and Jan (Tom) Krall; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a brother, Louis; and a sister-in-law, Mary Brannaman.
Don was preceded in death by his parents;
infant son; two brothers, Raymond and Archie; two sisters, Marcella Clark and Eva Swenson; and an
infant brother, John.
