Jerome "Jerry" Lee Wisnousky Sr., 77, of Swisher, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, in his home. Private family services will be held at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids with burial in Dupont Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be from 11 a.m. until 3p.m. March 27, at JW's Pub and Grub, located at 58 Miller Ave. SW.
Jerry was born March 30, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Edwin and Leona (Kudrna) Wisnousky. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. Jerry owned and operated W&M Truss Co., as well as farmed, and was a lifelong carpenter. He enjoyed being outdoors, cutting wood, fishing, camping, working with tractors and, most of all, spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and his dog, Cooper.
Jerry is survived by his children, Christopher Wisnousky, Stacey Wisnousky, Jerome "Jerry" Jr. and Krystal Lnenicka (Wisnousky); three grandchildren, Melaney Ellingson, Madelyn Lnenicka and Garrett Lnenicka; two great-granchildren, Rylan Marshburn and Charlotte Seevell; longtime companion, Janice Calhoun, and her children, Cassie Stephens and Brad (Stephanie) Scriven; and his brother, Joseph (Donna) Wisnousky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Edwin Jr. and Thomas Wisnousky; and his uncle, Tom Wisnousky.
