Zenisek, Clarence William 'Slug'
Clarence William “Slug” Zenisek, 87, of Solon, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the Solon Nursing Care Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Solon. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brosh Chapel in Solon, with a parish vigil service at 4 p.m.
Slug was born Feb. 20, 1923, in rural Johnson County, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Cole) Zenisek. He graduated from Solon High School and farmed on the family farm his entire life.
Slug is survived by his sister, Eleanor Secrest; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Raymond, Stanley, Loretta Zenisek and Florence Hoke.
