"The Urbana 5" – Quentin Ray Ary, 19; Triston James-Ray Randall, 17; Hunter William Tuttle, 14; Zoey Lynnae Tuttle, 12, and Nicole Renee Jacobson, 20, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, near Urbana due to an auto accident.
A Celebration of Life for Quentin, Triston, Hunter and Zoey will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 17, at the Benton County Speedway, located at the Benton County Fairgrounds, 1702 Second Ave., Vinton, with the Rev. David Arnold officiating. Family will greet friends from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at the Presbyterian
Church, 608 First Ave., Vinton. Following services, Quentin, Triston, Hunter and Zoey will be cremated, and private family inurnment will take place in Cox Cemetery, Urbana, at a later date.
Quentin was born Jan. 21, 1996, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Bekki Ary. He was baptized at Faith Independent Baptist Church in Vinton. Quentin was a 2015 graduate of Vinton-Shellsburg High School. When he was younger, he was a paperboy for the Vinton Livewire. He enjoyed mud running, mechanical work, camping, fishing, boating, racing and spending time with his family.
Quentin is survived by his beloved pet, Duke; his mother, Bekki (Rob Steburg) Hathaway of Grand Island, Neb.; adoptive parents (grandparents), Dennis and Sandi Ary of Vinton; great-grandmother, Lucille Ary of Vinton; sisters, Skye-Leah Ary of Grand Island, Neb., and Samantha Ary of Urbana; aunts and uncles, Angie and Jim Getty of Urbana, Tia and Eric Tuttle of Vinton, Kent Kirchner of Garrison and Donnie (Angelica) Kisling of Vinton; niece, Payton Ary of Urbana; cousin, Onnaleigh; special grandparents adopted by Quentin, Tam and Jim Osborn of Vinton; and numerous other special family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ralph L. Ary and Emma and William C. Pettit.
Triston "Bubba" was born June 22, 1997, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Troy Carlton-Wayne Randall and Tia Rae Ary. He was a 2015 graduate of Center Point-Urbana High School. He joined his family in farming produce in Vinton, being given the title, "Field Boss." He spent a summer working for Delaney Concrete Contractors in Marion, and he also worked at the Vinton Pizza Ranch. He enjoyed hunting, boating, baking, football, racing, bonfires, hanging out at the sandbar, float trips on the river and spending time with his family. He was an avid reader and a professional procrastinator.
Triston is survived by his parents, Troy and Heather Randall of Urbana and Tia and Eric Tuttle of Vinton; grandparents, Jim and Tam Osborn of Vinton, Zola and Joe Karkosh of Hudson and Dennis and Sandi Ary of Vinton; great-grandparents, Don "Grandpa Randy" Randall of Center Point and Kaye Hanzlik of Mount Auburn; brothers, Lance and Thaden Randall of Urbana; aunts and uncles, Jim and Bre Osborn and Josh and Nikki Osborn, all of Vinton, John (Michelle) Osborn of Fairfax; Mike Rickertsen of Iowa, Tomi and Shane Fuchs of Robins and Bekki (Rob Steburg) Hathaway of Grand Island, Neb.; adopted grandma, Linda Renn of Vinton; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Norman Beuthien and Stan Boedeker; and his great-grandparents, Jeannine Randall, Sonny Hanzlik, Ralph L. Ary, Emma and William C. Pettit and James Osborn Sr.
Hunter was born Nov. 9, 2000, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Eric William and Tia Rae Ary Tuttle. He was in the 8th grade at Center Point-Urbana. Hunter enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, racing, snowmobiling, bonfires and shooting guns. He loved spending time with his family.
Zoey "Sis" was born July 31, 2002, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Eric William and Tia Rae Ary Tuttle. She was in the 7th grade at Center Point-Urbana. Zoey was a sassy tomboy who enjoyed the outdoors, racing, shooting guns, skating and spending time with her family.
Hunter and Zoey are survived by their parents, Tia and Eric Tuttle of Vinton; grandparents, Dennis and Sandi Ary, John and Jul Tuttle and Tam and Jim Osborn, all of Vinton; great-grand-mothers, Lucille Ary of Vinton and Viola Hare of Waterloo; brothers by choice, Lance and Thaden Randall of Urbana; aunts and uncles, Bekki (Rob Steburg) Hathaway of Grand Island, Neb., Jacob and Heather Tuttle of Belle Plaine, Joey and Melissa Tuttle of Cedar Rapids, Dillon Tuttle of Vinton, Angie and Jim Getty of Urbana and Kent Kirchner of Garrison; and numerous other family members and friends.
They were preceded in death by their grandparents, Lynn Tuttle; and great-grandparents, Emma and William C. Pettit, Joe Bruskern, Hazel Snydock, Dan Hare and Ralph L. Ary.
A memorial fund has been established.
