Randall, Delores Ann
Delores Ann Randall, 77, of Solon, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Solon Nursing Care Center surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. The Rev. James Vrba will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Solon. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church in Solon with a parish rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice. Lensing Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
Delores was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Emil and Lottie (Shulista) Pospisil. Growing up in Cedar Rapids, she graduated from McKinley High School. She married Robert D. Randall Sr. on April 25, 1953, in Solon. Delores worked as a clerk for the University of Iowa for 15 years, but her passion for work was raising her family.
She attended St. Mary's Catholic Churches in both Solon and Iowa City and was a member of Women's University Club. Delores enjoyed playing cards, gardening, tending to her flowers and the time spent with friends and family. Her greatest love was her grandsons, Hunter and Spencer.
Survivors include her children, Robert Randall (Susan) of North Liberty, Jeffrey Randall of Solon and Tracy Liebermann (Jeffrey) of Iowa City; grandchildren, Hunter Liebermann, Spencer Liebermann, Kelly (Chris) Klekar and Heather (Robert) Doty; great-grandchildren, Keaton and Kenton Klekar and Isaiah and Lucas Doty; and sisters, Karen Tousey of Marion and Nancy Stranczek (Norm) of Niles, Ill.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents and her husband
