Burnhardt, David M.

David M. Burnhardt, 58, of Solon, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, from a brief illness. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Solon. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at Brosh Chapel in Solon, with a vigil service starting at 7 p.m.

David was born July 7, 1954, in Iowa City, the son of Robert and Patricia (Ehl) Burnhardt. He graduated from Solon High School in 1972. He graduated from Kirkwood Community College, with a degree in computer programming. David was most recently employed by Worley Warehousing/Kenwood Records Management. David enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, golfing and his yearly trip to Las Vegas.

David is survived by his siblings, Dennis Burnhardt and wife Alberta of Solon, Daniel Burnhardt and wife Joan of Solon, Denise Chapek and husband Bill of Washington, and Darrell Burnhardt and wife Rebecca of Solon; nieces and nephew, Barbara Reynolds and husband Stewart, Kristin Nearad and husband Lee, Robert Chapek and wife Angie, and Megan Goergen and husband Jon of Waukee; great-nieces, Tatum Burnhardt and Isabella Nearad, Leah Chapek, Joel and Sophia Goergen.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia.
