Man arrested for indecent contact with child

Robert Santon, 23, of 1200 Third Ave. SE, has been arrested for indecent contact with a 10-year-old girl in August.

Santon also was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A search warrant indicates Santon touched the child's groin area over her clothing.

Officers searched Santon's home on Thursday and reported finding three pairs of girls underwear and one training bra beneath Santon's bed. Officers also seized CDs, computers, hard drives and a cell phone, according to the search warrant filed in Linn County District Court.

The warrant stated that Santon's ex-roommate, a woman, told of seeing child pornography on Santon's computer. That warrant said Santon told the woman's boyfriend that Santon expected he would be in trouble if the FBI ever got hold of his computer.

After the search warrant was executed, Santon's current roommate, Michael Block, 37, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia.

The arrests resulted from a joint investigation by Cedar Rapids police and the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.
