Justin Matthew Letcher, 27, of Iowa City, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a two-year battle with liver disease.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. He is survived by his parents, Kendal and Barbara Letcher of Washington, Iowa; sister, Amanda Potter and husband Douglas of Washington, Iowa; sister, Paige Letcher of Washington, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Carroll and Lucille Reighard of Washington, Iowa; paternal grandmother, Joan Letcher of Fulton, Ill.; aunt, Pat Fritz and husband Larry of Washington, Iowa; aunt, Priscilla Reighard of Washington, Iowa; aunt, Janet Windus and husband Randy of Atalissa, Iowa; uncle, Drew Letcher of Wheaton, Ill.; aunt, Kristen Irwin and husband Tom of Centerville, Iowa; aunt, Dina Letcher of Clinton, Iowa; and uncle, Klay Letcher of De Witt, Iowa.
