Randy Coons

RANDY D. COONS Marion Randy D. Coons, 67, died Friday, May 27, 2016, of a sudden illness. Randy was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, to Aut and Mary Coons. Randy was the youngest of seven children. Randy loved to spend time with his wife and best friend, Julia, spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, helping others, finding good "deals" and tinkering in his garage. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Julia (Harbaugh) Coons; his children, Tina (Terry) Jones, Chad (Teresa Coons), Paula (Jayson) Attwood and Crickett (Chris) Liston; grandchildren, Curtis (Nicole) Jones, Mick, Annabelle, Mayson, Austin, Beau and Evan; great-granddaughters, Silvia and Aleah; also his brothers and sisters, Patsy (Gary) Gray, Robert (Dorthy) Coons, Donna (Darrell) Timm, Larry (Shirley) Coons, Jackie (Chuck) Betzer, and William (Sharon) Coons; brothers-in-law, Bruce Harbaugh and Mark (Jill) Hockaday; sister-in-law, Beth Harbaugh; and father-in-law, Boyd Carlton. Randy was proceeded in death by his parents, Aut and Mary Coons; mother-in-law, Janis Carlton; brother-in-law, Blair Harbaugh; niece, Tammy Coons; and the ever so cuddly sweet baby, Hazel Christine Liston. Randy was also able to help others by being an organ donor. Condolences can be sent to 2222 10th Ave., Marion, IA 52302.
