Anne E. Chesney, 72, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, with the Rev. Michael Elmore officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Anne was born Nov. 6, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Ralph and Zelma (Braton) Chesney. She served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Anne loved horses, cats and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Herman of Cedar Rapids; son, John King of Virginia; two grandsons, A.J. Herman of Cedar Rapids and Kai Powell of Ohio; and brother, Gary (Pam) Chesney of San Jose, Calif., and their sons, Doug and Steve.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents.
