Schloss, Dorothy
Dorothy Schloss, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. A graveside service for family and friends will be at 11 a.m. today at Shiloh Cemetery in Hiawatha. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was born March 10, 1919, in Toolsborough, the daughter of James and Josie (Shotten) Hutchinson. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1937. Dorothy married Herman G. Schloss on Nov. 20, 1938, in Cedar Rapids.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Dennis (Judy) Schloss of Los Osos, Calif.; granddaughters, Lydia Schloss and Caitlin Schloss; grandson, Jack Thomas Schultz; two nephews; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman on June 24, 2009.
