Betty R. Stratton, 81, of rural Homestead, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. A time for family and friends to gather and share with one another will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. We will concluding the evening with a sit-down time to share your favorite memories or stories. Private family burial will take place at a later date at Oxford Cemetery next to her husband, Leo and her son, Doug.
