Steven George Skelton, 61, of Cedar Rapids, passed away from a long illness on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015. Family will greet friends 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include sons, Seth (Kara) Skelton of Homestead and Shawn Skelton of Grover Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Laney Sue, Dakota Steven and Jordan Gene York; and siblings, Jim (Deb) Skelton, Sue Skelton, Cheryl (James) Carnahan, all of Cedar Rapids, and Kelly Skelton of Fort Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rhiney Hugh; and grandson, Tanner Skelton.
Steven was born on Dec. 22, 1953, son of Harold and Beulah Skelton. He was a construction worker for many years and also a truck driver. He retired in 2013.
