Frankie Jo Moennich passed away after an honorable and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Colonial Manor in Amana at the age of 68 years.
Frankie was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Russellville, Ark., the daughter of Frank and Norma (Teal) Yeager. She graduated from West Liberty High School. Frankie was united in marriage to Milferd D. Moennich on Aug. 2, 1968, at St. John Lutheran Church near Homestead, Iowa. She was employed at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for a number of years before her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and playing cards. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Milferd of Williamsburg; a son, Adam Moennich (Elicia Wintermeyer) of Ladora; and two grandsons, Garrett and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jean Harper.
Celebration of Life services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at St. John Lutheran Church near Homestead. Pastor Terry Small will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
Memorials are for St. John Lutheran Church or donor's choice.

The family would like to thank Dr. Feeley, Dr. Miller and their staff at the Iowa City Cancer Treatment Center of Mercy Iowa City. Also Colonial Manor and staff and Essence of Life Hospice of Amana for the wonderful care that Frankie received.
