DIANE (AUGUSTINE) BERG

Diane (Augustine) Berg, 58, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from cancer. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Coralville, with the Rev. Royce Phillips and the Rev. Jim Arnall officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established in Diane's memory. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the funeral home website at www.gayandciha.com. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Diane's family and arrangements.
Diane L. Augustine was born May 16, 1958, in Neosho, Mo., the daughter of Bernice and James Augustine Sr. Diane's family moved to Coralville when she was a child, where she attended schools and graduated from West High School in 1977. She was united in marriage to Thomas N. Berg on Feb. 21, 1992. The couple resided in Coralville. Tom died Jan. 31, 1999.
For over 20 years, Diane worked for Economy Advertising in Iowa City and following this a number of care centers in the area. She had lived on an acreage near Homestead for many years where she loved having her dogs and cats as her children!
Her family includes her mother, Bernice Augustine; brother, Jim Augustine; nieces, Kim, Anna, Elizabeth and Samantha Augustine; nephew, Michael Augustine; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband and two sisters, Janet and Sherry.
