Louise Margaret Stambaugh, 95, of Amana, formerly of Homestead, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, St. John's Lutheran Church, Marengo. Burial: Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
A memorial fund has been established.
Louise is survived by her sons, George (Trudie) Stambaugh of Fort Worth, Texas, and William (Faye) Stambaugh of Northwood; seven grandchildren, Roy (Sue) Zuber of Mesa, Ariz., Vicki (Rich) Cobb of Marengo, Connie (Jeff) Johnson of Roanoke, Texas, Janelle Stambaugh of Fort Worth, Kevin (Amy) Stambaugh of Northwood, Christopher (Audra) Stambaugh of St. Charles, Minn., and Kenneth (Kara) Stambaugh of Northwood; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Bertha Pearson of Marion, Mary (Gerald) Schupanitz of Cedar Rapids and Joyce Reihmann of Middle Amana; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Klaner of Palo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Brink Klaner; her husband, Warren Stambaugh, in 1995; a daughter, Ruth Zuber; three brothers, James Klaner, Lavern Klaner and Leonard, who died in infancy; a son-in-law, Mervin Zuber; and brothers-in-law, Vernon Reihmann, and Wayne Pearson.
