McHugh, Patricia Walsh
Patricia Walsh McHugh, 82, died in her home in Memphis, Tenn., on Aug. 26, 2009.
The daughter of Jack and Mary Walsh, she was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 27, 1926. She grew up in Cedar Rapids, and received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Marquette University and a master's degree in library science from the University of Michigan. She was a librarian with the Detroit Public Library system.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Walsh Rahe and her husband, Ted, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Margaret J. Walsh of San Francisco, Calif.; and brothers, the Rev. John J. Walsh of Dubuque, Michael B. Walsh and his wife, Kay, of Surprise, Ariz., and Dr. Denis E. Walsh and his wife, Judie, of Ann Arbor, Mich.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids at a date to be determined. Arrangements by Teahen Funeral Home.
