McHugh, Patricia Walsh
Patricia Walsh McHugh, 82, died in her home in Memphis, Tenn., on Aug. 26, 2009. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
The daughter of Jack and Mary Walsh, Patricia was born in Kansas City, Mo. on Sept. 27, 1926. She grew up in Cedar Rapids, and received a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Marquette University and a master's degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan. She was a librarian with the Detroit Public Library system.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Walsh Rahe and her husband, Ted of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Margaret J. Walsh of San Francisco, Calif.; brothers, Rev. John J. Walsh of Dubuque, Michael B. Walsh and his wife, Kay, of Surprise, Ariz., and Dr. Denis E. Walsh and his wife, Judie, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and 13 nieces and nephews.
