Patricia Ann "Pat" Rainwater, 72, of Hiawatha, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivor include her husband, Bob; two sons, Christopher (Stephanie) of LaQuinta, Calif., and Chad (Kati) of Apple Valley, Minn.; a brother, Michael Schleich of Peoria, Ill.; and a sister, Maureen (Tim) Kelley of Mission Viejo, Calif. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Callie and Rylie Rainwater.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Schleich; and a sister, Cathy Schaub.
Pat was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Edwin and Mary Conway Schleich. She married Charles Robert "Bob" Rainwater on June 10, 1967, in Peoria. Pat worked in food service at St. Pius X Catholic School for 21 years, retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed family vacations to St. Louis and to Palm Springs, Calif. She especially enjoyed time spent with her beloved granddaughters. Pat will forever be remembered for her positive attitude and the beautiful smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and many friends.
