PATRICIA ANN BROGAN
Cedar Rapids
Patricia Ann Brogan, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2018, at Crestview Acres Nursing home following a sudden illness.
Patricia, known as Pat, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she lived most of her life. Pat did move to Dillon, Colo., where she resided for six years, until she retired, and then moved back to Iowa. In Pat's earlier years, she was employed as a school bus, limousine and city bus driver. Though Pat was small, Pat had exceptional driving skills. She could back up a motor home with a boat on the back like no one else could. Pat later worked at the county attorney's office for several years doing clerical work. Pat loved going to the casinos and playing the slots, as well as watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and reading.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Edna Fenton; brother, Dean Fenton; and son, Mike Brogan; and grandson, CJ.
Pat is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Wood and Linda Huber, and brother, Dwight Fenton, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Donny Fenton of Colorado; two daughters, Tracy M. Vasquez (Brogan) and her significant other, William Hines, and Kimberly (Brogan) and Andy Bockenstedt of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Starlet Flint, Josh Flint, Amanda (Flint) and (Mitch Ruprecht), and Brandon Flint, all of Cedar Rapids, and Zachary Brogan of Colorado; and 10 great-grandchildren, Lily and Annie of Colorado, and Caden, Somer, Lyra, Olivia, Gavin, Aubrey, Carsen and Caleb, all of Cedar Rapids.
Pat will be greatly missed by her family. A cremation service will be held in the spring at the Solon cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to breast cancer or dementia research in Pat's honor.
