Schrandt, Patricia Ann

Patricia Ann Schrandt, 74, of Marion, died peacefully at the Alzheimer Care Facility, Richman Gardens, Fullerton, Calif., on April 8, 2012, with family at her side.

Patricia (Pat) was born in South Bend, Ind., on March 4, 1938, to James and Pauline Meixel. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in South Bend, and married her childhood sweet heart, Robert W. Schrandt in 1959. Pat moved to Iowa in 2000 to be near her daughter.

She enjoyed traveling (especially trips to Maui, Hawaii), playing bridge with friends and bike rides with the “Renegades” in Marion and around Linn County. She was a very loving and kind person. Pat was also a wonderful grandma to Colin, Anne, Keith, Cathy, Michael, Laura, Henry, Parker, Brian and Carly.

Pat is survived by her four children, Chris Schrandt (Washington), David Schrandt (California), Suzanne Nilles (Iowa), and Jeff Schrandt (California).

Church services will be held in Fullerton, Calif., at a later date.

Her family would like to express their appreciation for the care she was given by the staff at Richman Gardens and Hospice in Fullerton.
