Estrella out, Groth in for Kernels

Infielder Hector Estrella has been promoted to high-Class A Rancho Cucamonga and been replaced on the Cedar Rapids Kernels' roster by outfielder Ryan Groth.
Estrella hit .208 in 16 games and 53 at-bats for the Kernels. He played all last season in Cedar Rapids.
Groth, 22, is a left-handed hitter from Oral Roberts University who joins the team from Los Angeles Angels extended spring training. He played most of last season with Orem of the Rookie Pioneer League, though he got in 20 games for the Kernels, hitting .204.
The Kernels have lost four games in a row entering a six-game homestand that begins Wednesday night against West Michigan.
