McLaren, Kelley Elizabeth
Kelley Elizabeth McLaren, 25, of Marion, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, following a car accident. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at New Life Community Church, Marion. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion. Burial will be following the service at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Kelley was born Nov. 7, 1987, in Cedar Rapids, to Tim and Mary McLaren. She attended Linn-Mar schools, graduating with the class of 2006, and received bachelor's degrees in art history and Spanish from the University of Iowa in 2011. She was a sales support manager at Crystal Group in Hiawatha and a dance instructor for Dance New York-Iowa in Marion.
A great lover of all types of music and dance, Kelley played violin, piano, flute, and clarinet. She loved the Lord Jesus her Savior, her family, friends, and co-workers and was greatly loved in return. Among her many gifts, Kelley's joyful spirit and enthusiasm for life brought happiness, comfort, and hope to all who knew her.
Kelley was preceded in death by her cats, Twinkle Star Rainbow and Percy; and her grandparents, John and Jeanne Beeson.
She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Chris and Nick; grandparents, Robert and Evelyn McLaren of Dysart; aunts, uncles, cousins; and many cherished friends.
