Dixon, Stephen T.
Stephen T. Dixon of Haymarket, Va., was in a car accident on Aug. 15, 2010. Services will be held at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 3 p.m., with visitation after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Stephen T. Dixon was born in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 4, 1992, to Bethann Stuckey and Chauncey Dixon. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Johnnie C. Nicholson of Cedar Rapids; great-grandfather, Willie R. Dixon of Ripley, Tenn.; great-grandmother, Annie Lou Tyus of Ripley, Tenn.; grandfather, John A. Walker Sr. of Cedar Rapids; uncle, John L. Walker of Cedar Rapids; aunt, Phyllis A. Walker of Cedar Rapids; and aunt, Marybeth Walker of Cedar Rapids.
Stephen is survived by hig grandparents, Charles and Gloria Dixon of Cedar Rapids; great-grandmother, Kathlean Hamilton of Decatur, Ill.; grandmother, Katherine (Karl) Watson; great-grandmother, Lula B. Walker of Cedar Rapids; mother and stepfather, Beth and Malik Stuckey of Haymarket, Va.; father and stepmother, Chauncey and Deidre Dixon of Gardner, Kan.; sisters, Jazzmin Dabney of Haymarket, Va., Ambrosia (Clarence) Lobdell of Manassas, Va., and Alyssa Dixon of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Malik Stuckey of Haymarket, Va., and Robert Diamond Johnson of Gardner, Kan.; and countless great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Stephen enjoyed basketball, music, family and friends, and his car, which he named “Abbey.”
He will be remembered most for his contagious laugh, heart warming smile, and his genuine heart.
