Timothy C. Morrissey, 80, formerly of Mount Vernon, Iowa, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a sudden illness.
Tim was born on Feb. 16, 1938, the son of Eldred "Al" and Norma (Fish) Morrissey. Tim was a known entrepreneur, restaurateur and family man. After time spent at Colorado College, Tim spent most
of his life residing in his hometown.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Pete) Layden; former spouse, Kay Morrissey, and their children, Greg (Karen) Morrissey and Melissa (Ryan) Morrissey; former spouse, Susan "Suki" Morrissey, and their children, Alison (James) Egolf and Shanna (Ryan) Cooper; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Dylan, Kyle, Owen, Noah, Sienna, Addison and Tatum; and great-grandchildren, Ashton and Brecken.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Barry; sister, Kelly; and his daughter; Kerry K. Duffy.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
