Neva Florence Ritter King, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial: Memory Gardens in Iowa City.
Neva was born Sept. 22, 1931, the daughter of Hilburn and Willa Mae (Wilson) Ritter, in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. She resided in the Iowa City area from 1948 to 1975. She worked for Scott's Dime Store and Sheller-Globe Corporation during her time in Iowa City. Neva then moved back to Tennessee to take care of her parents. In 2001, she moved back to the Cedar Rapids area.
Neva enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, quilting and cooking. She also liked to spend time in her garden. She was a member of Central Church of Christ in Cedar Rapids.
More than anything she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her three children, Stephen (Jane) King, Terry (Lou Ann) King and Pam (Chuck) Wilson; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Clay Melton) King, Danielle King and Austin Wilson; and four great-grandchildren, Adam and Trinity Lovell, Sophia and Stella Melton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eloise Taylor.
