Susan M. "Becker" Barger, 48, passed away peacefully from compli-cations of Multiple Sclerosis on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Mass Of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Norway, with Father Craig Steimel as celebrant. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church in Norway.
A memorial fund has been established.
Susan was born Feb. 28, 1967, in Marengo, to Donald and Virginia (Schmuecker) Becker and graduated from Benton Community High School in 1985. On Aug. 19, 1995, she was united in marriage to Tim Barger at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Susan was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Norway. She was employed at AEGON as a proofreder for many years.
She collected Eagle memorabilia and enjoyed their majesty. Susan loved animals, especially "Blackie."
Spending time with her family was always her greatest joy. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Barger of Atkins; their twin children, Thaddeus and Tabatha, both at home; her parents, Don and Virginia Becker of Van Horne; her siblings, Steve (Deanna) Becker of Blairstown, Angela Becker of Amana, Debbie Becker Gorsch of Cedar Rapids, Cheryl (Todd) Hennings of Elberon and Jeanne Becker of Cedar Rapids; her brother--in-law, Joe Barger of Cedar Rapids; her sister-in-law, Nancy (Ed) Sass of Shellsburg; 20 nieces and nephews; and 16 grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her in-law parents, Don and Jeanie Barger.
