Police cruiser loses control on Interstate 380
A police officer lost control of his cruiser Tuesday night while headed north on Interstate 380.
Officer Steve Keiller was uninjured after his vehicle slid off the road and down into the eastern embankment at around 6:15 p.m.
Keiller was responding to an attempted mugging at the Blairs Ferry Wal-Mart when his car left the lanes of 380 just north of the H Avenue onramp.
A Cedar Rapids Police squad car lost control and slid down an embankment while headed north on Interstate 380. The officer, Steve Keiller, was uninjured in the accident. (Spencer Willems/The Gazette)
