James had a love for everything Irish. He was actively involved with SaPaDaPaSo. He enjoyed being the "official greeter" at Dublin City Pub! He also was well known for playing the spoons! With his job at P&H as an international sales manager he traveled the world, but his favorite place to visit was Adrigal, Ireland, the birth place of his father. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Calla; his four children, Meghan Blake (Ben Miller) of San Francisco, Matthew Blake (Jamie Larson) of Cedar Rapids, Kathleen Blake (Dillon McDonald) of San Francisco and Daniel (Candace) Blake of South Korea; his brother, Vincent (Kathleen) Blake of Connecticut; and his sister, Jessie (William) Byrne of New York.
