Carol C. Knoll, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospice following a short illness. A graveside service will be held at Cass Cemetery in Webster City.
Survivors include three sons, Ted (Stella) of Arlington, Texas, Alan (Diana) of Cedar Rapids and Paul (Colette) of Stanwood; a sister, Roxanne Hadaway of Arkansas; brothers, Gary Kolbeck of Arkansas, Dennis Kolbeck of Ankeny and Dave Kolbeck of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Knoll; her parents, Harry and Irene Kolbeck; sister, Dorothy Stahl; and brothers, James Kolbeck and Donald Wilson.
Carol was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Webster City, Iowa. She married Richard Knoll on April 23, 1945, in Muskogee, Okla. She worked as a cook at Hoover and Truman elementary schools for 19 years.
She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. She loved quilting, gardening and spending time with her family.
She will be missed.
